Your Questions, Answered

  • Q: What services do you offer? A: The Greenmarket is your digital connection to the best local food in the Wood River Valley via the following:

    • CSA Boxes (coming soon!): A seasonal subscription delivered weekly or bi-weekly. Subscribe for the season up front to receive a discount, or order weekly in our market.

    • Weekly Market: A boutique selection of our vendors' top-selling items available for individual purchase.

    • Wednesday Fulfillment: Every Wednesday, we offer convenient home delivery across the Wood River Valley (Hailey, Bellevue, Ketchum, and Sun Valley) as well as centralized pickup locations.

  • Q: When is the online market open? A: The Greenmarket opens for shopping every week from Saturday at 7am through Sunday at 11:59pm. During this window, you can browse fresh produce, meats, dairy, eggs, bread, and pantry items and place your order for Wednesday fulfillment.

Q: I’m having trouble shopping the market. Can you help? A: Visit our How to Shop page for assistance with shopping the market.

Q: How do I stay updated on what’s available each week? A:Join our email newsletter to receive weekly updates on new items, seasonal produce, featured producers, recipe ideas, and more. It’s the best way to know what’s fresh and what’s coming before the market opens each weekend.

Q: Do I need a CSA subscription to shop the weekly market? A: No — anyone can shop the weekly online market, whether or not they’re part of the CSA. CSA members can also add a la carte items to their weekly order for extra flexibility.

  • Q: How does the CSA box subscription work? A: Our boxes are a curated selection sourced from multiple producers. You can choose between a Weekly or Bi-Weekly (every other week) schedule. Once you subscribe, your box will be ready for pickup or delivery every Wednesday during the given season. Our first Summer Season will launch in July. Check back for specific details.

Q: Can I customize the items in my box? A: To keep our operations streamlined and our prices fair, we do not offer customizations for the boxes. However, you can always shop the market instead, or add a la carte items to your order each week!

Q: What happens if I’m out of town and miss a week? A: We understand that plans change! Our policy depends on how much notice we receive:

    • 7+ Days Notice: Our first preference is that you find a friend or coworker to pick up your box and give them the gift of fresh food! However, if you notify us at least one week prior to your skip date, we will issue a store credit to your account, as this gives us ample time to sell the box to another customer.

    • Less than 7 Days Notice: Because our farmers have planned specifically for your subscription, we cannot offer credits on short notice. In these cases, we are happy to donate your share to our local partners at The Hunger Coalition or The Advocates so your fresh produce still finds a good home.

  • Q: Where do you deliver? A: We currently deliver to the following zip codes within Blaine County for $15/delivery: Hailey (83333), Ketchum/Sun Valley (83340 & 83353), and Bellevue (83313). If you are outside these zip codes, please choose one of our convenient pickup locations at checkout.

Q: Where are your pickup locations? A: We offer pickups at Lookout Farm in Bellevue (Wednesdays 12-2pm), Cafe Della in Hailey (Wednesdays 4-6pm), and NourishMe in Ketchum (12-2pm).

Q: When will my order arrive? A: All orders are processed for Wednesday fulfillment. Home delivery occurs between 10am and 4pm. Specific windows will be communicated based on your location and our order volumes. We recommend leaving a cooler out if you won’t be home to receive your order.

  • Q: How do you choose your vendors? A: Our first priority is rooting our business in the local economy. We exclusively partner with small-scale producers from the Wood River Valley and nearby Southern Idaho. Our goal is to provide a direct link between you and the people producing your food.

Because every farm is unique, The Greenmarket does not make platform-wide claims regarding specific agricultural practices (such as Organic, Non-GMO, or Regenerative). Instead, we provide each producer with a dedicated space to share their specific priorities—whether that’s soil health, animal welfare, or pesticide-free growing—so you can make an informed decision based on the values that matter most to you.

Q: Are the products on The Greenmarket Organic? A: We prioritize transparency over labels. While many of our partners follow organic, regenerative, or biodynamic practices, The Greenmarket does not make a "Certified Organic" claim for our platform as a whole. We believe the best way for you to shop is to be informed, so we ask every producer to share their specific farming practices on their dedicated page. Whether they are 100% grass-fed, no-spray, or Certified Organic, we provide the space for them to tell their story so you can make the best choice for your table.

Q: Why is my steak a different price than what I saw in the market? A: For items sold "by weight," the price in the market is an estimate based on average weight. Once we pull your specific cut and weigh it, we update the final total. You will only ever be charged for the exact weight you receive.

  • Q: Is there an order minimum? A: We do not have a minimum for pickup orders. For home delivery, there is an order minimum of $35 to help us keep our delivery routes sustainable.

Q: How do I update my payment method? A: You can manage your cards, view past invoices, and update your subscription details directly through your Local Line customer dashboard.

  • Q: Can I work with The Greenmarket in exchange for food? A: Yes! We are always looking for community-minded individuals to help us with our Wednesday fulfillment. Whether it’s carefully packing boxes or assisting with local deliveries, we’d love to have you on the team.

Q: How does it work? A: We offer a Community Work Credit of $22/hour. Instead of a traditional paycheck, your earned credits are applied directly to your Local Line customer account. You can use these credits just like cash to pay for your CSA box or weekly market items.

Q: How do I sign up? A: If you’re interested in joining our team on Wednesdays, please reach out to liza@shopthegreenmarket.com
